The Northern Ireland Collection

The Northern Ireland collection is one of the most significant and prestigious at Wolverhampton Art Gallery. By actively collecting artworks on the theme of the conflict the Gallery has created the only collection of its kind on an international scale.

Find out about what art is, how to uncover the histories within, understand different styles, and discover why artists use the methods and techniques they do.  For visitors simply wanting to enjoy a display of some magnificent works artists will include Frank Brangwyn, Joan Miro and Garry Hume which will be on display alongside decorative objects from the vast Wolverhampton collection.

 
 

 

 
 

Pop Art

Displayed in the new triangular gallery on the first floor, we have Pop Art displays to rival anything you can see in London.  With computer based interactives, opportunities to dress and more, our Pop Art displays will appeal to all ages.  The displays will be changed every six months so that you can find out about different aspects of Pop Art and the 60s:
