Art in the community
As part of the community programme we aim to work with people and groups who currently do not use the three sites of Wolverhampton’s Arts and Museum Service.
We would like to build links and relationships with people within the community so that we can make the services we offer more relevant to everyone in Wolverhampton.
If you would like to find out more or would like to get involved please contact one of the outreach team.
Projects
You can get involves in a range of projects including:
African Caribbean Community Panel
Held every third Wednesday of the month the African Caribbean Community Panel meet at one of the three sites to discuss ways of engaging the African Caribbean community in our collections, events and projects.
Projects to date have included the development of the annual Caribbean Christmas, the interpretation of our Georgian collection and exhibitions to show case local work.
Victorian Community Panel
The panel is a three year project looking to engage the local community in the major re-displays of our Victorian collection.
Artforum
ArtForum is a project that encourages young people to positively engage in the arts, outside of the formal education setting.
