Creativity in the Curriculum

Creativity in the Curriculum is a project for schools.  It includes an artist’s residency, which aims to enhance the understanding and ability of both the teaching staff and pupils, and develop creativity in the delivery of the curriculum.

Each project lasts half a term and includes a visit to one of Wolverhampton Arts & Museums sites, and five half day sessions in school. These are planned to suit the school’s needs and may include a session for staff development.

Patterns

Wolverhampton Arts & Museums has two Arts workers, a sculptor and a printmaker.  They use their specialist skills and Wolverhampton Arts and Museums’ collections to enrich the delivery of the schools’ current scheme of work.  This can give school staff confidence in tackling an art project, using collections and visits as inspiration, or trying a new technique.

“The fantastic end results and positive participation of the children has made me more determined to continue with other projects of this kind.”
