Deaf Visitors

Can you help us with a new project we have just started?

The project will be looking for ways to make our museum and galleries more attractive to Deaf visitors.

We would like to talk to members of the Deaf community to get their views of what we should do.

At the moment we are planning a series of BSL signed events, a BSL signed guide for the new room display at Bantock House, BSL signed material for our website and an exhibition on aspects of Deaf history.

Project News

You can now watch BSL signed videos describing what you can see at Bantock House on the Bantock House website.

We will be launching our new BSL signed guide to Bantock House on 18 August at our BSL Welcome Day.

Our project has received national recognition, in June we won the 2007 Jodi Award for excellence in accessible technology.
