Omelette

He's built this cluckin' hen house

At the bottom of his garden

Without a cluckin' 'by your leave'

Or even 'Beg your pardon',

So...

I sent this cluckin' letter

To the cluckin council planner

On why the cluck he chose to act

In this high-cluckin'-handed manner.

'You've let my cluckin' neighbour

Put up this cluckin' shed

To house his cluckin' chickens...

'Cluckin' liberty,' I said.

'I get these cluckers cluckin'

from cluckin' break of day

And as for cluckin' new laid eggs...

Too cluckin' high a price to pay!'

So...

They've cluckin' notified me

That they'll get the structure checked...

But with cluckin' local councils

What the cluck can you expect?

Win Saha

Win's poems are taken from a CD entitled City Voices. Copies are £4 and are available from Simon Fletcher - telephone 01902 552061. Read more about the success of the CD.
