Come along to your local library for books, music, DVDs and videos. Use the library catalogue to search for books, CDs, DVDs and other items.
How many books can I borrow?
You can borrow up to 10 books at a time from the library. We provide a wide range of fiction, non-fiction and books on CD or cassette.
Music CDs and cassettes
You can borrow up to six CDs or cassettes. Find out how much it costs to hire CDs and cassettes.
Can I make photocopies at the library?
Each branch library has a black and white photocopier. A colour copier is available in the Central Reference Library. Find out more about charges for photocopying.
Can I send a fax from the library?
Faxes can be sent to anywhere in the world for a small charge. Find out more about charges for faxing.
DVDs and Videos
Central Library stocks many educational, leisure, DIY, fitness and classic DVDs and videos.
You can borrow up to three DVDs and videos at any time. Find out how much it costs to hire DVDs and videos.
Do you stock sheet music?
We stock a variety of music scores at Central Library. In addition, we can reserve multiple copies of a score for you through the inter-library loan scheme. Ask a member of staff in Central Library for more information.
My books are overdue - what are the fines?
