National Year of Reading 2008 logo - Read the Game - the theme for August 2008

National Year of Reading 2008

Everything starts with reading and this year is the National Year of Reading - a celebration of words and reading.

Wolverhampton's libraries have many events planned and there will be opportunities for you to get involved throughout the year. We'll be adding all the details here, so keep visiting.

  • August's theme is Read the Game.  Why not borrow a book about the Olympics or about your favourite sporting hero?  Do you want to take up a new sport?  Borrow a book to learn the rules.
  • Visit our online readers' group - write a book review!
  • Visit the National Year of Reading website for information including details of monthly themes.
