Library charges - CDs, DVDs, videos, photocopying and faxing

Charges for hiring CDs, DVDs and videos, and for photocopying and faxing are explained below.

How much does it cost to hire CDs and cassettes?

You can borrow CDs and cassettes for 14 days.

  • £1 per item for adults (18 years and over)
  • 50p per item for 13-17 year olds or Wolverhampton Leisure Card holders

Children aged 12 years can borrow CDs and cassettes free of charge.

How much does it cost to hire DVDs and videos?

Please note, the loan period for DVDs and videos is 7 days.

  • £1.50 per item for adults (18 years and over)
  • 75p per item for 13-17 year olds or Wolverhampton Leisure Card holders

Children aged 12 years or under can borrow DVDs and videos free of charge.

How much does it cost to photocopy?

  • Black and white A4 - 10p per copy
  • Black and white A3 - 20p per copy
  • Colour A4 - £1 per copy
  • Colour A3 - £1.50 per copy

How much does it cost to fax?

To send a fax:

  • UK - first page £1 then next pages 50p each
  • Europe - first page £2 then 75p
  • North America - first page £3 then £1
  • Other - first page £4.50 then £2

To receive a fax:

  • Incoming fax - first page 75p then 20p

Other charges

  • Loss of books borrowed from the British Library - set by British Library (min £107)
  • Postal enquiries involving reference research - £10
