Find out about library fines

You can check if you have any library fines using the online library catalogue.

There are no fines for children aged 17 years or under. Charges for overdue items for adults only are as follows:

Books

15p per item per day (maximum fine £5 per book)

Books on CD/cassette

15p per item per day (maximum fine £5 per CD/cassette)

Music CD/cassette

15p per item per day (maximum fine £5 per CD/cassette)

DVD/Video

£1 per item per part of week (maximum fine £10 per DVD/video)

How can I pay my library fines?
