Annual Report Summary 2006 - 2007

8801 people used the service, including enquiries by email and post
1181 Local Studies items and 1609 Archives items were issued from the strongroom
23 archive collections were newly catalogued
302 books were added to the Local Studies collection
1722 photographs were scanned and catalogued onto the database
31 items were repaired and 110 photographs labelled and mounted
14 exhibitions and 7 resource packs were provided by the Outreach service
A fornightly 'From the Archives' column was launched in the Express & Star in December
An Open Day in November was attended by over 200 visitors. The service also participated at the West Park City Show
Two related websites went live: Wolverhampton History in April; and Black Country History in October
The first Wolverhampton Local History Symposium was successfully held at Bantock House in February
