Researchers with disabilities
Archives and Local Studies in Wolverhampton is accessible via the main entrance on Snow Hill (non-automatic doors).
There is a lift to the public search room, which is on the first floor.
Toilet facilities are accessible to wheelchair users.
A Minicom service is available for users who wish to contact us.
Microform viewers
A mix of microform viewers are available. Some have electric winding mechanisms and others are operated by hand. There is a wide range of magnifications spread across the machines.
Extra room for wheelchairs
A number of machines have extra room around them to accommodate wheelchairs or a helper. A height-adjustable table suitable for wheelchair users.
Car parking
Car parking for orange badge holders is available nearby in Cleveland Street and there is also a Shopmobility service for people who have mobility difficulties.
Shopmobility
Shopmobility, provided by Wolverhampton Council Social Services, offers the free loan of manual or electric wheelchairs and electric scooters.
