Wolverhampton Floral City 2009

Preparations for Wolverhampton's entry into the Heart of England in Bloom Awards 2009 are well under way now.

Wolverhampton will be entering into the Large City category in 2009 in order to maintain the prestigious Gold certificate obtained in 2008.

This year's theme is 'Local Roots' and we are hoping to capture the city's history and heritage through floral displays, community projects, involvment from schools and individual contributions.

Competitions

Competitions in the Best Garden and Hanging Basket, Best Flower, Best Vegetable, Best Business and Children's categories have been announced.

Events

Interested in growing your own produce? Further events have been announced including vegetable growing classes at Sandy Lane Allotments, Bushbury.
