Competitions - Floral City 2009

My perfect garden - Children's category

The 'My Perfect Garden' competition invites children in a school class, group or club to draw, paint or generate on a computer, a picture of what they think is their perfect garden.

Teachers and leaders are encouraged to download, print off and return one entry form per class by Friday 5 June, 2009.

Prizes for this category have been generously been sponsored by Enterprise Plc.

Best garden and hanging basket -Residents categories

Residents are invited to enter into the Best Garden competition with a separate category for hanging baskets.

If you are keen to showcase your horticultural efforts then gold, silver and bronze awards are up for grabs.

Garden centre vouchers are also part of the prize and certificates will be presented at the Sandy Lane Allotments Annual Show on Saturday  September 12, 2009.

Download, print off and return an entry form by Wednesday July 1, 2009.

Best business in bloom - Business category

Businesses are encouraged t enter their premises into the Business in Bloom competition.

Gold, silver and bronze awards are available. Do your bit to help take pride in the city.

Best vegetables, flowers and allotment - Sponsors categories

Best vegetables and flowers

Residents are invited to enter the 'best vegetable' and 'best flower' competitions sponsored by Sandy Lane Allotments.

If you think you can grow weird and wonderful flowers and vegetables, or have a cultivated allotment plot, then these are the categories for you!

Winners will be announced at the Sandy Lane Allotments Annual Show on Saturday 12 September, 2009.

Download, print off and return entry forms by Thursday September 10, 2009.

Best allotment

You can also enter the 'best allotment' competition sponsored by Wolverhampton Leisure Gardens Association.

Judging for the Best Allotment competition will be in July. If you have a Wolverhampton allotment, you will automatically be entered into this category.

Best dressed vegetable

Sandy Lane Allotments will also be running a 'best dressed vegetable' competition for children.
