Competitions 2010

Details of the competitions that will run as part of the Floral City entry into the Heart of England in Bloom Awards 2010 will be announced shortly.

They will include:

Best Garden, Best Hanging Basket, Best Drawing in the Children's category, Best Business in Bloom, Best Allotment and new for 2010 the School's category Best Outdoor Area.

In the meantime, the Floral City team are calling upon budding photographers to send in images of seasonal Wolverhampton landscapes to be used in an exhibition for the Heart of England in Bloom judges in July.

Competition awards and winners 2009

Competition was fierce last year but judges came to their decisions and entrants were told about their awards.

Our overall winner and joint runner ups were kept in suspense until announced at the prize giving held at the Sand Lane Allotments and Gardener's Association Annual Show on Saturday 12 September, 2009 presented by Councillor Barry Findlay.

Age 9 to 11 years

  • 1st Prize - Jordan Lockley, age 9
  • 2nd Prize - Jessica Edwards, age 11
  • 3rd Prize - Pawandeep Kaur, age 11.
