Wolverhampton Entertains venues are winners again!

Several venues that form part of the Wolverhampton Entertains group have come out number one yet again in another award ceremony, this time in the Express and Star’s Spotlight Awards.

These awards are particularly welcome as they are voted for by the public.

Civic and Wulfrun Halls swept the board on the evening winning all three of their nominated categories for Best Concert venues:

Best Concert Venue – Large: The Civic Hall
Best Concert Venue – Medium: Wulfrun Hall
Best Concert Venue – Small: The Little Civic

Wolverhampton Grand Theatre also took centre stage winning the Best Theatre category. Light House made the finalists in the Best Cinema category and Best Bar category for Lock Works Café Bar but came a close runner up to other well – deserved winners.

The ceremony which was hosted at the Civic Hall featured a star-studded line-up including performances from Gareth Gates and The Brand New Heavies.

Tickets for the event were extremely popular and everyone; staff, winners, sponsors and members of the public all enjoyed the celebrations with a boogie at the end of the evening!

Venues of the Wolverhampton Entertains group also picked up Gold and Silver prizes in the prestigious Black Country Hotel and Tourism Awards that took place last month.
