Activities for older people

The Wolverhampton Sport and Recreation 50+ programme provides a wide range of activities for over 50's residents to join in.

There are three participating centres:

  • Aldersley Leisure Village
  • Bilston Leisure Centre
  • Central Baths

There are eight different activities available including:

  • Swimming
  • Fitness training
  • Aerobics
  • Indoor bowls
  • Air rifle shooting
  • Table tennis
  • Badminton
  • Short tennis

Other sport and recreation provision include:

  • Toning tables at Bilston Leisure Centre
  • Steam room at Central Baths

Aldersley Leisure Village

£1.50 per session

Aerobics

  • Friday 11.00am to 11.45am (level 1)

Short and Long Mat Indoor Bowls

  • Tuesday 10.00am to 12.00 noon
  • Thursday 10.00am to 12.30pm
  • Friday 10.00am to 12.00 noon

Air Rifle Shooting

  • Friday 10.30am to 12.00 noon

Table Tennis, Badminton and Short Tennis

  • Friday 10.00am to 12.00 noon

Bilston Leisure Centre

£1.50 per session

Swimming

  • Monday 11.30am to 1.30pm

Swimming Instruction

  • Monday 11.30am - 12.30pm

Central Baths

£1.50 per session

Gym and Swim

  • Tuesday - gym 10.00am to 12.00 noon
