Judges

A judge is a person who is appointed to hear cases in a court of law. Judges hear and try both criminal and civil cases, and depending on the court which he or she is presiding over the judge may be joined by another judge, a jury or simply sit on their own.

To become a judge you must be a practising lawyer for a number of years, before the Lord Chancellor will consider you for this high profile legal position.
