Clerical relief pool

What is the clerical relief pool?

The clerical relief pool is Wolverhampton City Council’s in-house temping agency. We provide the Council with a bank of competent and experienced clerical workers who are flexible enough to step in at a moment’s notice to support the services we deliver.

Why should I join?

The clerical relief pool gives its members the opportunity to experience what it is like to work for the Council on a temporary basis whilst receiving the same benefits as permanent members of Council staff. These include:

  • Flexible working hours
  • Paid holiday from the start of your first contract
  • Paid bank holidays
  • Full-time and part-time positions
  • Eligibility to apply for internal vacancies

The clerical relief pool gives experienced clerical staff the opportunity to develop their skills further, try new areas of work and realise their potential.
