Very sheltered housing

Very sheltered housing is designed for people with identified care needs.

Support and care is provided to enable people to continue living in their own home at a scheme. 

An information pack on Very Sheltered Housing is available at local Housing and Social Services Offices.

Standards

  • You will live in a safe and secure environment. 
  • We will assist with domestic tasks and personal care if required.
  • You will have a lounge, bedroom, kitchen, bathroom and your own front door.
  • Communal lounges, activity areas, dining facilities and assisted bathing are available. 
  • You will have privacy and quiet within your own flat to entertain friends and relatives.

Bungalows / Flats

Some older people prefer to live in self-contained properties. You will need to register on the council housing waiting list.
