To find out the exact amount please complete a claim form as soon as possible.
We can usually only pay you from the Monday after we receive your form.
Also attached are "ready reckoners" for both Housing Benefit and Council Tax Benefit. Please remember that these are only a rough guide, and if you are not sure of what you may be entitled to, you should contact the Benefits Division, or, if you prefer, an independent organisation who will be able to give you advice on matters relating to Housing and Council Tax Benefits.
