Abbeyfield UK

Service description: Provides housing with support for older people aged 55 years and over in self contained flats who would enjoy living in a house with a group of other residents and is sufficiently mobile.  The houses provide one or two cooked meals a day and are ideal for those who may not wish to cook for themselves. Scheme managers are available on site. They can help you maintain your home by arranging repairs, gardening and managing your tenancy.

Anchor Trust

Service description: Provides affordable rented retirement flats and bungalows for people over the age of 55. Scheme managers are available on site and can help you maintain your home by arranging repairs, gardening and managing your tenancy. Scheme managers can also offer support and reassurance in an emergency

Asra Midlands Housing Association

Service description: Asra Midlands has properties throughout the Midlands providing sheltered accommodation aimed at the Asian community in the Midlands. Sheltered housing comprises of a group of flats, houses, or bungalows specially designed to meet the needs of older people and which allows each resident to request the help of a designated bi-lingual housing and support officer or some other person through the link with a 24-hour control centre.

Bromford Carinthia Housing Association

Service Description: The service provides sheltered housing for people over 60 years of age, or 55 if registered disabled. Scheme managers at each service will assist tenants with paying bills, benefit advice, arranging household services and helping people to maintain their own home.

Extra Care Charitable Trust

Service Description: The service provides and is designed to offer accommodation based support which enables people over 55 to enjoy life. 24-hour support and care from an on-site team provides housing related support, domestic help and a handyman service to enable older people to live  as independently as possible.

Hanover Housing Association

Service Description: Provides supported housing for older people (aged 60 and over) in the form of self-contained flats with their own bathrooms and fitted kitchens. This can include communal facilities such as  a laundry,  a communal lounge for social activities, gardens, a guest room. The estate manager service helps newcomers to settle in and explains how everything works, makes regular contact with each resident, deals with emergencies, reports and monitors repairs and maintenance work and assesses needs and, in consultation with residents, liaises with families, statutory, voluntary and private agencies to ensure these needs are met. 24-hour emergency call centre assistance is also provided.

Heantun Housing Association and Heantun Care

Service Description: Heantun Housing retirement homes are for people over 55 and welcome people from all backgrounds. All retirement homes provide long-term tenancies, safety and security, 24-hour emergency alarms, staff available from 9am to 5pm and regular visits from a chiropodist, hairdresser and other services.

Housing 21

Service Description: Provides sheltered housing specially designed for older people who value their independence but choose to live somewhere that is easier to manage and where help is at hand 24 hours a day. Most of Housing 21's properties are in groups of individual, self-contained apartments, built around communal areas and are known as "courts".

Midland Heart - Focus Futures and Touchstone

Service Description: Provides sheltered and very sheltered housing for older people which include self-contained retirement housing schemes. Most retirement schemes provide a mix of one and two-bedroom apartments but there are sites with bungalows and maisonettes that are available to either rent or buy.

Schemes have both an on-site or visiting manager and a  security system for peace of mind including a community alarm service.

Woodlands

Service Description: The Paddocks is a Sheltered Housing Scheme for the over 60s and registered as a Housing Association. There are 25 warden-assisted flats, 12 of which are on ground level. All flats have a living room, kitchen, bathroom, good storage space and a double bedroom. Three flats have an additional single bedroom. All have gas central heating. Tenants have keys to their own front doors which are at ground level. There is a 24-hour care link system in operation when the wardens are off duty.
