Have your say - Housing Related Support

If you receive a service funded by Housing Related Support, we want to know what you think of the service.

One of our priorities is to ensure you are involved with how services are delivered and that you can have your say about the future of Housing Related Support in Wolverhampton.

We work closely with our Participation Team to help achieve this as well as to offer other involvement opportunities.

Service users can get involved in helping to improve services through a variety of ways as listed below:

Arrangements with service providers

We have arrangements with all service providers. This means that your service should give you the opportunity to give your views on how the service should operate. You should always be involved in writing your personal support plan and making the decisions that affect you.

User groups and forums

Many providers have service user groups and forums which you can get involved in. They include the Experts by Experience Panel and the Mini MOPP group which are made up of potential, former and current housing related support clients.

You can also get involved through giving your views online about many different subjects through Wolverhampton's e-panel and also through other community involvement work across the council including area forums.

Ask the staff who support you if they have a group or forum you can get involved with. If there isn’t then you can ask the staff to contact us using the contact details at the bottom of this page and we can help set one up.

A Participation Officer in the Housing Related Support Team is developing ways in which service users can be involved in the development of the Housing Related Support future programme and work.

Reviews

The council has to review all of the services provided through Housing Related Support to make sure that the service you receive is good quality and offers value for money.

When we do a review we, or our lay assessors, ask to meet with people who use the service and will in future reviews have service users involved in the review process.

You can either tell us what you think  of the service when we visit or you can contact us using the contact details at the bottom of this page.

Housing Related Support News

Articles for the Housing Related Support quarterly newsletter, the development of a forum group and being involved in future reviews are all ways in which you can be involved.
