Mental health services

We work with Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust to provide support for people with mental health needs and their families.

We try to enable people to live successfully as part of the community. We work in partnership with people who use our services, carers and voluntary organisations to ensure that a range of services are provided to help a recovery process for people with mental health needs.

Services we offer:

Community Mental Health Teams - made up of nurses, social workers, psychologists, doctors and occupational therapists who provide treatment and intensive support for people in their own homes. We also have a range of accommodation and a job finding team to help people back to work
Mental Health Resource Centres - Corner House in Whitmore Reans and The Croft in Bilston are multi-purpose resource centres which provide a local point of access to services
intensive support - we also provide treatment during a crisis at a centre called Recovery House.
Protecting vulnerable adults - people with mental health issues may be unable to take care of themselves, or protect themselves from harm, abuse or from being exploited. The work that we do is helped by two important pieces of legislation; the Mental Capacity Act and Deprivation of Liberty Safeguards.

Adult Placement Scheme

The Adult Placement Scheme recruits paid carers to provide short or long stays for people with mental health needs.

Alz Café

Wolverhampton's Alz Café is a monthly meeting for people with dementia or memory loss, their families and friends.
