Housing support

We provide a range of advice and options along with partner agencies to prevent homelessness.

We assess the support needs of vulnerable people in order to maintain independent living, offer and provide outreach support and temporary accommodation.

We also operate the 24-hour emergency control centre which responds to Carelink emergency alarms, and also respond to general council emergencies and repairs.

What we do

Our housing support covers the following areas:

Tenancy Sustainment Unit

Our Tenancy Sustainment Unit provides support to people to help people remain in their own home.  We can help people who are finding it hard to pay their bills, rent or debt or keeping to their tenancy agreement.

The service is free and confidential, so please don't sit in silence - we don't want you to lose your home through eviction.

For more details, read a PDF of our leaflet about the Tenancy Sustainment Team by clicking on the icon below:

Going into temporary accommodation

We help people move into temporary accommodation if they become homeless.  For more information, read a PDF of our leaflet entitled Your guide to Temporary Accommodation by clicking on the icon below:

Sheltered housing

We also provide:

  • sheltered housing - a group of self-contained flats, bedsits or bungalows designed to meet the specific needs of the residents.  They are normally let to people of pensionable age or younger disabled people.
  • very sheltered housing - designed for people with identified care needs.  Support and care is provided to enable people to continue living in their own home at a scheme.
