Adult social care
Our adult social care services staff offer help and support to enable people to live more independent lives. We help people with:

Before we can arrange services for you, we will carry out an assessment to gauge the level of your needs. To do this we will speak to you or your carer to find out what sort of support you would like. The sort of assessment we will carry out depends on your needs - for instance you may have a physical or sensory disability or a learning disability - and on your age.
Because we do not have unlimited time and money with which to deliver services, we have a set of rules called Fair Access to Care Services which determine what help we can offer which people.
After we have carried out an assessment of your needs, we will carry out a financial assessment to determine whether you will need to contribute towards your care. Providing high quality services is expensive. Some services are free, while for others there may be a charge based on a person's ability to contribute towards the cost of the service.
Most of our teams work during normal office hours, but we also operate Emergency and Out of Hours services to ensure that help and support is available whenever you need it. It can be contacted evenings, weekends and during public holidays.

Transforming the way we deliver care services
We have recently launched the Putting People First programme, giving people who receive social care much more control over their services. We are also working with Wolverhampton City Primary Care Trust to build six new health and social care facilities across Wolverhampton.
Your feedback on our services
We want to know what you think of the services we provide. So we encourage our customers tell us about their experiences - whether it is a compliment, comment or complaint.
