Register of electors

The Register of Electors (the Voter's List) is a record of everyone who lives within the City of Wolverhampton and is entitled to vote at elections.  The information is obtained from forms returned by householders during the annual audit of the register that takes place during September/October/November.  A new register is published on 1st December every year.

Throughout the rest of the year any elector can claim to be added to the register if they have changed address or find they were not registered during the annual audit.

The register is maintained in two versions:

• the Full Register - this includes all electors, and is used only for electoral purposes, credit reference and law inforcement
• the Edited Register - this is available for anyone to purchase, and may be used commercially; it only includes the names of those electors who have given permission for their details to be on the list.
