Council vision

In July 2004 we launched a new vision designed to give a fresh purpose and sense of direction for all our employees.

A clear statement

Our vision statement is:

Wolverhampton City Council, Leading, Supporting and Inspiring our City. Proud to be of service today and rising to the challenges of tomorrow.

What our vision stands for

In just a few words the vision encapsulates our civic leadership role, our commitment to delivering high quality services and our confidence in taking on the future.

How our vision was produced ?

The exercise to produce a new vision is only one element of putting together our new Corporate Plan.

Employees and elected Members involved in creating the new vision showed real interest and enthusiasm, coming up with some great ideas.

The next step is to identify our priorities and objectives and how we are going to meet them. This part of the process is being developed through a number of workshops which are currently taking place with staff from across the organisation.

The new Corporate Plan will be published in September.

The current corporate plan is available on this website.
