Adult Education Service open day showcases courses
Released: 30 May 2008
Wolverhampton City Council’s Adult Education Service will be holding an open day to showcase some of the hundreds of courses on offer.
Visitors are invited to come along and chat to members of staff who will be happy to share information about starting a new course.
There will be musical entertainment throughout the day courtesy of the Steel and Strings steel band and The Dhol Foundation – an Asian drum group.
The open day takes place at the service’s Foyer building in Old Hall Street, in the city centre, on Saturday June 14, and runs from 10am to 3pm.
Adult Education Service marketing manager Howard Wallace said: “We currently offer around 600 different courses, covering everything from languages to healthy living and information technology to arts, crafts and new media, so we are certain to have something for everyone.
“Enrolling on one of our courses is a great way to improve your career prospects, or simply to pick up a new skill or hobby or meet likeminded people.”
Following the open day, a series of early enrolment days will take place from July 14 to 16 from 10am to 7pm, allowing people to secure places on their chosen courses.
For more details about the enrolment days or courses on offer, call Old Hall Street on 01902 558180 or the special information, advice and guidance line on 01902 551658.
