Storytellers take to the stage
Released: 21 May 2008
Hickman Park's recently restored open air theatre will be brought to life with magical stories next week.
Storytellers John Edgar and Peter Chand are taking to the stage to entertain visitors with a range of fantastic tales next Thursday, 29 May.
The open air theatre has been renovated thanks to a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund. It reopened in December and will host a wide-ranging programme of community events over the coming months.
Wolverhampton City Council outreach worker James Goodyear, who has helped organise the event, said: "John and Peter are fabulous storytellers and are sure to keep everyone entertained.
“We hope that lots of visitors will bring picnics along with them and make a day of it."
This half-term event runs from 1pm to 4pm and entry is free.
