Penn Library to temporarily close for improvements
Released: 15 January 2008
Penn Library is closed for the next fortnight whilst its car park is made more user-friendly.
The library closed this week and will reopen at 9am on Monday. January 28th.
Pat Andrews, branch librarian said: “There will be a number of changes made to the car park including improved access, ramps and hand rails to the library entrance.
“There will also be a dedicated disabled parking space and improved signage and lighting. It is hoped that this work will greatly improve the appearance and accessibility of the library, which is already a very popular asset to the local community.”
Borrowers are reminded that although Penn library will be closed, books can be returned to or renewed at any Wolverhampton library.
There is also a 24 hour renewal hotline where borrowers can renew their books – 01902 552500.
“Whilst the usual limit is to borrow 10 books at a time, we have increased this limit during this time so that our borrowers are not inconvenienced,” added Pat.
