Council serves up 50p tennis offer

Released: 6 February 2007

The hunt for the next Roger Federer or Maria Sharapova begins in earnest at Aldersley Leisure Village this half-term when people will be given the chance to practise their tennis skills for just 50p.

Wolverhampton City Council has served up a special promotion for tennis lovers, allowing people of any age and ability to play for just 50p per person per hour.

Alison Compton, Facility Manager at Aldersley, said: “We ran this offer during the summer holidays last year and nearly 200 people took up the opportunity.

“We are hoping even more will be able to take part during the February half-term - and, who knows, one of them may turn out to be a future Wimbledon champion.”

The promotion runs from 9am to 5pm from Monday, February 11, until Friday, February 15.

For further information or to pre-book a court, contact Aldersley Leisure Village on 01902 556200.
