Household waste and recycling centre morning closure

Released: 14 April 2008

Wolverhampton City Council’s Household Waste and Recycling Centre at Anchor Lane, Lanesfield, will be closed on Thursday April 17 from 8am until 12.30pm for routine site maintenance. It will be open from 12.30pm to 8pm.

Steve Wightman, Partnership Manager for Waste and Recycling Services, said: “We will be cutting down conifer trees on the site and due to health and safety reasons it will need to close. We apologise for any inconvenience this may cause.

“The Shaw Road Household Waste and Recycling Centre in Bushbury will be open as normal, from 8am until 8pm, on Thursday April 17, if anyone needs to visit a site in the city during the morning.”

Issued by the press office.
