Course prepares students for international language qualification
Released: 21 September 2007
Learners have the chance to gain internationally-recognised English language qualifications thanks to Wolverhampton City Council’s Adult Education Service.
Classes are being run to prepare candidates for the Cambridge International English examinations - Cambridge First Certificate (FCE), Cambridge Advanced Certificate (CAE) and Cambridge Proficiency Certificate (CPE).
The qualifications are recognised globally and by around 500 employers in the UK alone. They also help people get into higher education.
Wolverhampton’s Adult Education Service curriculum manager Bruce Parsons said: “The courses are aimed at Level 1-3 English language learners – those at a high level - who want an internationally recognised English language qualification.”
Classes, which will take place at the City Learning Quarter or at Old Hall Street, begin on October 1 and cost £320, which includes the exam fee.
