Let us entertain you

Released: 18 September 2007

New and returning university students are being encouraged to find out about the entertainment choices on offer in Wolverhampton.

Students are invited to Thursday’s special Welcome to the West Midlands information day, where staff from Wolverhampton Entertains will be showcasing events, gigs, nightclubs and lots of other options for places to go and activities in the city.

The event is part of Welcome Week for the 20,000 new and returning University of Wolverhampton students which begins today (Monday, September 17).

Wolverhampton Entertains, which includes the Civic and Wulfrun Halls, Arena Theatre, Wolverhampton Art Gallery, Light House Media Centre and the Grand Theatre, will have a stand in the Students Union on Thursday (September 20) from 11am to 4pm.

Staff will be handing out information on events, discount vouchers and freebies. Students can also enter a free prize draw to win a limited edition MP3 player.

Emma Cleary, of Wolverhampton Entertains, said: “Our venues present a whole range of events through the year - social, educational, one-offs and free events - so there really is something for all students to enjoy.

“If you are in the MB building or the Students Union on the city centre campus then pay us a visit and we will be more than happy to help.”
