Refuse and Recycling vehicle

Park village recycling initiative

Released: 7 September 2007

Residents in Park Village are being urged to get involved in a Neighbourhood Recycling Initiative this weekend.

Volunteers are invited to play their part in the community event tomorrow, Saturday, September 8, by helping to sort items and load them onto vehicles.

People are asked to meet at Stratton Street Community Centre at 8am. Residents are also asked to put all their separated recycling outside their homes before 8.30am on the same day for collection.

Volunteers will join with workers from Wolverhampton City Council and Enterprise Plc to pick up wood, metal, cardboard, textiles, plastics and electrical goods for recycling.

The main streets being targeted in Park Village for this Neighbourhood Recycling Initiative are: Prosser Street; Swinford Road; Crowther Street; Stratton Street; Newport Street and Quatford Gardens.

For further information please call Bob Deacon, Community Development Worker on 01902 552486.
