Calling all pop pickers

Released: 24 October 2007

Wolverhampton youngsters can wow their peers at a pop music quiz being held at Spring Vale Library this Saturday, 27 October.

The Bevan Avenue library will host the Mega Pop Quiz from 11.30am to 12.30pm and young people aged from 11 to 16 from across the city are invited to join in the fun.

Denise Jones, branch group librarian, said: “We wanted to showcase what music knowledge our young people have and this seems an ideal opportunity. There will be questions to suit all musical tastes and prizes for the winners.

“We’re aiming the quiz at young people aged between 11-16 and it’s a team event with up to four people per team.”

Entry to the quiz is free. The event is part of a range of activities hosted by Wolverhampton’s libraries aimed specifically at teenagers.

For further information call Spring Vale Library on 01902 556284.
