Places available on baby emergency first aid course
Released: 19 June 2007
Sessions offering basic first aid training which could save a baby’s life are being held at a Wolverhampton leisure centre.
The free two hour courses are designed for anyone who cares for a baby and aim to provide skills which can be used in emergency situations.
They cover what to do, before the emergency services arrive, when a baby up to 12 months old is choking, drowning or stops breathing.
Three sessions, organised by Wolverhampton City Council’s Sport and Recreation department, will take place at Bilston Leisure Centre, Prouds Lane, Bilston, over two days next week. They will be held on:
• Monday June 25 - from 9.30am to 11.30am and 12.30pm to 2.30pm • Wednesday June 27 - from 7pm to 9pm
Three courses have already taken place this month.
Places should be booked in advance. For more information or to book a place, please contact the Sport and Recreation Training and Development Team on 01902 556217.
