The Annual Civic Sunday Service will be held at St. Peter’s Church on Sunday 24 June at 11am.
The Parade will be headed by the West Midlands Fire Service Band and will include units from the Regular/Volunteer Forces, Pre-Service Units, Veterans and Organisations.
The Parade will set off from Wulfruna Street at 10:30am and will march via Prince’s Square, Lichfield Street and Queen Square and into Church via St Peter’s Square and the West Steps.
The Civic Procession will leave the Civic Centre at 10:50am and process to Church via St. Peter’s Square and the West Steps.
After the Service at approximately 12:15pm the Mayor will take the Salute in Lichfield Street and the Parade will March into Queen Square, Exchange Street and dismiss in Cheapside.
Immediately after the Mayor has taken the Salute, the Band and the Civic Procession will return to St. Peter’s Square, where the Band will play a short programme of music. The Mayor urges everyone to support the occasion and all members of the public are warmly invited to attend.
Wulfruna Street will be closed to all traffic from 08:30am, to allow the assembly of the Parade and there will be minor disruption to bus services along the parade route.
