Wolverhampton Entertains competition winners announced

Released: 27 July 2007

Lucky visitors to City Show are now preparing to see Chicago.

Richard Cole and Nonie Bate have both won a pair of tickets each to see Chicago when it hits the stage at the Grand Theatre, Wolverhampton, in September.

They entered a competition run by Wolverhampton Entertains as it promoted local attractions at its stand at the City Show earlier this month.

The pair, who both live in Wolverhampton, will be among the first to enjoy the smash hit Broadway musical which opens on September 24 in the newly refurbished theatre.

Youngsters are also celebrating after entering another contest run by Wolverhampton Entertains. ‘City Show Off’ asked them to draw what they would most like to have in Wolverhampton on a skyline that included existing local attractions.

Hundreds of entries were received with most wanting a children’s play area in the city - overall winner Hiba Asghar, 11, from Wolverhampton drew an extra special ‘all day’ play area especially for youngsters. She won a family ticket to see Treasure Island, part of Pirate Week, at Bantock Park on August 8. Further information and tickets for this event are available by calling 01902 552195.

Wolverhampton Entertains, set up to promote city centre attractions including Wolverhampton Art Gallery, the Civic and Wulfrun Halls, Light House Media Centre, Wolverhampton Grand Theatre and The Arena Theatre, stages regular competitions on its website, with a host of giveaways and prizes, including more tickets up for grabs.
