Harry Potter arrives in Wolverhampton
Released: 20 July 2007
Wolverhampton Library members will soon be able to get their hands on the latest Harry Potter book. The city’s library service is taking delivery of almost 70 versions of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows this afternoon.
The boy wizard blockbuster will be available to loan from tomorrow.
Wolverhampton Libraries has ordered plenty of versions of the book including children’s, adults’, audio CD and large print.
Marion Cockin, assistant city librarian for children and young people said, “We are all looking forward to reading the latest Harry Potter book, they are always very popular with our readers. The 6th book, Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince was our most borrowed children’s book last month, so we think that children have been reminding themselves what had happened to Harry at the end of the last book and are getting ready for the new one.
“We will be doing all we can to make the books available as quickly as possible. Copies will be available for loan from Saturday 21 July from Central Children’s Library at Snow Hill and from all Wolverhampton Libraries hopefully by the middle of next week.”
Borrowers are advised to avoid disappointment for this popular book by reserving a copy in advance, free of charge. Reservations can be made at any Wolverhampton library or online at www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/catalogue
