Louisa has 104 reasons to celebrate

Released: 19 July 2007

A sprightly resident at a council-run residential home for old people in Wolverhampton celebrated her 104th birthday with family and friends.

And she attributed her long life to whisky and the soothing properties of dog oil for massage.

Louisa Watts marked the occasion on 18 July with a fish and chip supper and bingo evening at Underhill House with other residents, family and friends.

Manager Karen Atkins said: “Louisa came into Underhill two years ago when her daughter passed away. She remains very active taking part in all activities.

“She enjoys a good quality of life with good family support. Louisa tells me dog oil and whisky keep her young.”

Issued by the press office.
