Bird watch at Hickman Park
Released: 19 January 2007
An organised bird watch will take place at Bilston’s Hickman Park on January 27. People are invited to come and learn more about the birds that visit the park during the winter months.
The event from 10am to 11.30am has been organised by Wolverhampton City Council parks staff and RSPB volunteers to promote this year's national Big Garden Bird Watch. The annual campaign aims to get people counting the types of birds that visit their gardens. It provides a vital snapshot of the UK’s birds each winter so that conservation work can be prioritised.
