Prioritising local issues and future developments for Bilston East

Released: 9 January 2007

Residents from Wolverhampton’s Bilston East ward are being invited to an open meeting to prioritise the issues that matter to them.

The meeting, organised by the Bilston East Neighbourhood Partnership, will be held at Parkfield Bilston High School, Prosser Street, Bilston, tomorrow, Wednesday January 10, from 7pm.

The open meeting aims to prioritise the results of nine Planning for Real consultations and a household survey which was delivered to every home in the Bilston East ward.

The Planning for Real consultations have asked people to share what they think are the most important issues that affect people living in the area as well as their views on developments they would like to see move forward in the future.

From these findings the Bilston East Neighbourhood Partnership will develop an action plan and identify key priorities to work on during 2007 and 2008.

It is also hoped that the winner and two runners up in the household survey prize draw can be presented with their prizes at the meeting. People who entered the survey had the chance to win a £100 first prize and two runner-up prizes of £50.

A representative from the Wolverhampton Community Safety Partnership Board, Councillor Stephen Simkins, will present the prizes.

Everyone who lives or works in the Bilston East ward is very welcome to attend the meeting and refreshments will be provided.

For further information about the meeting please contact John Goalby on 01902 551760 or Steve Poole on 01902 551761.

Issued by the press office.
