Bins collected as normal on late summer bank holiday Monday, 27 August

Released: 20 August 2007

Wolverhampton City Council will be collecting domestic refuse, dry recyclables, green and commercial waste as usual on Late Summer Bank Holiday, Monday 27 August.

Councillor Pat Byrne, Cabinet Member for the Environment, said: “We’re collecting domestic and commercial refuse and recycling as normal again this Bank Holiday Monday.

“We’d particularly like to remind all residents whose green box, black or green bin collection falls on this Bank Holiday Monday to put out their rubbish as usual.”

The Household Waste and Recycling Centres at Shaw Road, Bushbury, and Anchor Lane, Coseley, will be open over the holiday. The sites are open from 8am to 8pm from Monday to Friday and from 8am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.

Further information about the city’s waste and recycling service is available on the www.wolverhampton.gov.uk/recycling website link.
