What’s on Where Wolverhampton competition winners to be announced live on community radio
Released: 23 April 2007
Winners of the What’s on Where Wolverhampton questionnaire competition to scoop family theatre tickets will be announced live on Wolverhampton Community Radio this week.
What’s on Where Co-ordinator Emma Cleary will be selecting the winners at random and announcing them live on the 101.8 FM station between 3pm and 4pm on Thursday, April 26.
Details of those who completed the recent questionnaire in the Jan-March issue, and returned it to the freepost address, were automatically entered into the prize draw to win one of five family tickets to see Peter Pan on Ice at the Grand Theatre, which opens at the end of May.
The questionnaire gave readers the opportunity to have their say on what they thought of the look and contents of the recently revamped What’s on Where guide to entertainment in the city.
Hundreds of positive responses came in and the thoughts and suggestions made by readers will be incorporated into future issues wherever possible.
Wolverhampton Community Radio has recently been given its FM licence and Thursday's 3pm to 4pm slot will be presented by representatives from the Light House media centre. The show will give listeners a run-down of forthcoming events, as well as feature interviews and a variety of popular music.
Competition winners who do not get chance to tune into the radio station for the live draw will not miss out on their prize as they will be contacted individually after the draw has been made.
