Mayor hosts trio of charity events

The Mayor of Wolverhampton, Councillor John Davis, will host a trio of fundraising events over the next fortnight. All monies raised will be donated to the mayor’s chosen charities, which are Compton Hospice, Kids for Kids and Acorns Hospice.
This Thursday, 5 April an Easter coffee morning will be held in the mayoral suite at the Civic Centre from 10.30am to 12.30pm. Steve Tovey, the city organist, will entertain visitors by playing popular tunes and there will be a tomobola. Refreshments, including a hot cross bun, are available for £1.
On Thursday April 12 Wolverhampton Orpheus Male Voice Choir will perform songs to suit a variety of tastes. The concert starts at 7pm at the mayoral suite in the Civic Centre. Tickets are £5 per person and refreshments will be available.
On Monday April 16 the annual civic charity quiz night takes place at the E.C.C Sports & Social Club, Showell Road, Bushbury from 7.30pm. The quiz is open to everyone and there will be picture, music, sports and general knowledge rounds. It costs £15 to register a team of up to five people.
