Bins collected as normal this Easter holiday
Released: 2 April 2007
Wolverhampton City Council will be collecting bins as usual on Good Friday and Easter Monday this year.
All residents whose green box, black or green bin collection falls on these two holiday dates are being reminded to put out their rubbish as usual.
Councillor Pat Byrne, cabinet member for the environment, said: “We’re making sure that residents know that we’re collecting as normal this year. We’ve put stickers on the bins of all the households affected, we’re running adverts and putting information on Wolverhampton Recycling.
“People are starting to get out into their gardens now, so we believe they’ll welcome this improvement in service.”
The Household Waste and Recycling Centres at Shaw Road, Bushbury and Anchor Lane, Coseley, will be open over the holiday. The sites are open from 8.00am to 8.00pm from Monday to Friday and from 8.00am to 4.30pm on Saturday and Sunday.
