Childcare and dependant carers' allowance

Councillors can claim for reasonable childcare and dependant carer costs that have been necessarily and exclusively incurred in undertaking a range of approved duties.

The amount of the allowance payable is the reasonable actual costs incurred up to a total annual maximum amount of 10% of the basic allowance.
