Becoming a councillor - How much time does it take?

Being a councillor is time-consuming. New councillors are often surprised at the level of commitment required to ensure they carry out their duties to the citizens of Wolverhampton effectively. Most meetings are held during the day, however, some are held in the evening.

Employers are required to provide reasonable time off for such activities.  However, there is no requirement within the law to pay you for that time off.
