Paying for your council mortgage

The Council have appointed a third party company to administer the councils mortgage accounts. This company in called Loan and Mortgage Advice Centre (Lamac). 

Any mortgage related query should be directed to LAMAC on 0845 345110 (calls charged at local rate). Ask for Wolverhampton Team and  quote your mortgage account number.

Lamac accept payments by:

  • Direct Debit
  • Standing order
  • Bank giro credit (at any bank)
  • or at any Wolverhampton City Council office which accepts payments.

Pay your bills by telephone

Wolverhampton City Council is offering easier and quicker ways for you to pay your Council bills. 

Now you can beat the queues by settling your regular bills by using the 24/7 telephone automated payment line City Pay on:

Freephone: 0800 180 4464

Please make sure you have ready:

  • Your debit or credit card
  • Your account number
  • The amount you wish to pay
  • A pen to record the transaction number

Paying for your mortage online

You can pay your mortage by debit or credit card using our online payment service.

What will I need?

To pay your mortage online you will need:

  • your 6-digit reference number shown on your bill
  • the amount you wish to pay
  • your debit or credit card details.

Security

Our online payments service uses Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology. SSL encrypts your details so that any information you send us to is secure. This makes it safer for sending over the internet.

Payments made using this online system before 5.30pm will be reflected on your mortgage account the next working day.

Other online ways to pay

Alliance and Leicester BillPay website can be used, however payments take four working days to reach your account.
