Paying council bills by City Pay

Pay your bills the easy way and help us put your money to better use

Wolverhampton City Council is offering easier and quicker ways for you to pay your Council bills. 

Now you can beat the queues by settling your regular and occasional bills through Direct Debit, or the 24/7 telephone payment line City Pay on:

Please make sure you have ready:

  • Your debit or credit card
  • Your account number
  • The amount you wish to pay
  • A pen to record the transaction number

You can pay the following bills by City Pay:

  • Council tax
  • Business rates
  • Housing rent
  • Sundry debtors invoice
  • Penalty charge notices 
  • Housing sundry accounts
  • Mortgages
  • Community charge
  • Residential care (these calls can be taken during office hours only and are dealt with by a member of staff. Office hours are 8.30 to 4.45 Monday to Thursday, and 8.30am to 4.15 on Fridays).
